Students learned about Sikhism, in honor of Sikh Awareness Month.
In celebration of Sikh Awareness Month this April, one of our PreK/K student's parents joined us along with Hoboken Mayor, Ravi Bhalla, to speak with our students about wat it means to be a member of the Sikh community. PreK and PreK/K classes learned about the meaning and significance of the traditional Sikh head dresses, turbans and patkas, and the religion's values and beliefs. Students asked extremely insightful questions, such as "Who invented Sikhism?" and "Why don't you cut your hair?" Thank you to our guests for a wonderful morning.
