PreK 4 children tend to be active, curious, and adventurous with a great deal of physical and cognitive energy. They have many wonders as they begin to explore the world around them and learn from new experiences. Play is the driver of development and wonder is what sparks play. Play is what develops a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. PreK 4 students have many opportunities for free and guided play. Teachers observe student play to listen closely to conversations and evidence of learning. This information is used to create a child-centered curriculum based on interests and wonders integrated with literacy, math, science, and social studies skills. At the core of what we do is helping children grow socially and emotionally so the learning can happen naturally.
