Fourth graders studying immigration and the role of ethnic enclaves in big cities recently made a trip across Jersey City last week to visit Little India in the Journal Square neighborhood.

Throughout January, students studied the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., culminating in a pair of assemblies during which 1st graders from both campuses gave a presentation on "Martin's Big Words," a book they read in class that celebrates King's work and illustrates his struggle for Civil Rights through his own words.
