Application Timeline

Welcome to the admissions process at Stevens Cooperative School. Our Admissions Team is here to help make the application process as easy as possible. We will begin taking applications on September 1, 2018 for the fall of 2019. If you are interested in applying for this fall, please contact the school to see where spaces are available.

  • Applications for the 2019-2020 school will be accepted starting September 3, 2018.

Birth Date Requirements

  • Applicants to the two-year-old program must be two by June 1st prior to the September that they would begin school.
  • Applicants to the three-year-old program must be three by September 1 of the school year.
  • Applicants to the PreK program must be four by September 1 of the school year.
  • Applicants to the Kindergarten program must be five by September 1 of the school year.

Required Forms

  • Forms are due by January 2 for Early Notification Applicants and January 15 for Standard Notification Applicants.
  • Children who have previously attended formal school will have forms completed and submitted by their current school.
  • Once you download the forms, send them to your child's current school for completion. Forms are confidential and are to be returned directly to Stevens by the school.
  • From the forms below, download the appropriate Teacher Recommendation Form (three-year-olds - 1st grade or 2nd - 8th grade) and the Principal/Head of School Recommendation Form.

Current School Transcripts

Request your current school records be sent to Stevens.

Works Samples

Submit work samples (applicants to 3rd-7th grade)
  • Two writing samples with grades and/or teacher feedback.
  • Two math tests or math assignments with grades and/or teacher feedback.

Student & Parent Interviews

Prospective students and their parents will have interviews between October and January.

Applicants for the two-year-old program through Kindergarten will visit in small groups.

Applicants for grades 1-7 will spend a full day at the school.

Notification Dates

  • Accepted families will be notified on March 15, 2019.
  • Early Notification candidates will be notified on February 1, 2019.

Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid (if applicable):

  • Financial aid applications must be complete by December 3.
  • Indicate on your school application if you are applying for financial aid.
  • You can apply for financial aid online through the TADS website.

Early Notification

Applying for Early Notification (if applicable):

  • To qualify for "Early Notification for Stevens Families," your child must be a sibling of a Stevens student, or child of an alumnus/a or current Stevens full-time faculty or staff member.
  • We also offer Early Notification to families interested in applying for our 2-year-old through Kindergarten programs.
