Our community is made up of students with varied interests, perspectives and areas of intellectual strength. Our approach to learning focuses on fostering bold and safe spaces for them to take risks and to be challenged by teachers, peers, and themselves. Our robust and rigorous curriculum provides every student the opportunity to cultivate their interests. Students participate in standardized testing and, beginning in Middle School, receive standard letter grades, but our standard for assessing student learning and progress is based on their areas of strength and areas for improvement. They are guided by experienced and thoughtful teachers who understand their unique interests and meet their specific needs. Our graduates leave Stevens curious, compassionate and ethical leaders more than ready to lead by example.
