Day by day, year by year, the Annual Fund gives us the resources and flexibility to respond swiftly, thoughtfully and strategically to meet the needs of our students. The stronger the fund, the stronger our ability to invest in the resources and programming that helps our students become ethical, articulate, broad-minded citizens.
If a teacher has a great idea for a new field trip; if a student wants to start a club; if a class or an athletics team or a musical group needs special tools, equipment or costumes – the Annual Fund is there. When someone says, “We should do this great thing for our students,” the Annual Fund is the reason we can say, “Let’s do it.”

Every day, our faculty, staff, and administrators arrive at work with a sense of determination and an unwavering commitment to our students. It is their talent and care that make the magic in our classrooms possible each and every day, and we all owe them enormous gratitude. That’s where the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Fund comes in. Timed to coincide with the Holiday season and Teacher Appreciation Week, the funds are the community’s chance to recognize the caliber, creativity and ingenuity of our students’ guides in learning.
Forever Stevens is a campaign for our community, now and in the future. We want to raise $2 million: $1 million from parents, graduates and friends, and $1 million from our own reserves. With that money we’ll establish our first endowment, a permanent fund designed to grow at a sustainable rate. Over time, the endowment will become our primary source of financial aid and support the newly-established Equity in Education Program.
The 46th Annual Gala was celebrated at Hudson House in Jersey City. By supporting the live auction, the silent auction and the inaugural paddle raise, our families demonstrated what makes our community special: a commitment to the belief that students thrive on deep family-school partnerships.

The Sarah Katz '15 Heart Care Fund was established at the 2023 Gala.
In September 2022, Sarah passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest at age 21. Throughout her life, Sarah was deeply involved in efforts to spread awareness about heart safety and provide CPR instruction and other training with the hope that doing so would ultimately save lives. It is in her honor that we established this fund, with the sole objective of lengthening what the heart health awareness community calls the “chain of survival.”
The fund supports a range of safety, education and awareness training programs for Stevens faculty, students and families, as well as future purchases of lifesaving devices to replace our current equipment. Sarah was a brilliant and dedicated young person who embodied the values we seek to instill in all Stevens graduates: compassion, leadership and a commitment to helping those in her community. Though her passing has caused profound sadness and grief, this fund allows us to carry on her legacy by making Stevens a safer, healthier community for all.
