Dear Stevens Community,

This past year has been nothing short of transformative for Stevens. What made it so special was not just the milestones we achieved, but the way in which our community came together stronger, closer, and more connected than ever before.

When Liz Kordonsky and I reflect on the past fiscal year, we are reminded of how vital community feedback has been in shaping our efforts. Families shared with us that they wanted more opportunities to come together, to build relationships, and to truly experience the warmth of Stevens beyond the classroom. We took that to heart and the result was a year filled with connection, joy, and record-breaking participation.

From the incredible turnout at our Diwali celebration, to the vibrant Head of School reception, and of course, our Annual Gala, the energy and enthusiasm were undeniable. At each of these gatherings, we saw families laughing together, new friendships forming, and a shared love for Stevens radiating in the room. Many of you even wrote to tell us that these events were the best you had ever attended. Each time, my response was simple: It’s not about Liz or me—it’s about all of you.

Because the truth is, while development is often thought of as fundraising, our work is rooted in something much deeper: building community. It’s about listening to your voices, creating spaces that reflect your values, and celebrating the incredible, passionate, caring, and thoughtful families that make Stevens the school it is today.
So, thank you for showing up, for giving your energy, and for reminding us what’s possible when we come together. This year, we built something special. And I can’t wait to see how, together, we will continue to strengthen the bonds that make Stevens not just a school, but a true community.

With gratitude and excitement for the year ahead,

Sincerely,

Farad Lowther
