Each Cooperative family is assigned a job each year. A strong effort is made to match the assignments to the parents’ stated interests and skills.

Many of the jobs that exist in our cooperative are jobs that are typical in any school such as being a class parent, organizing major fundraising events and meeting prospective parents at Open Houses. Any member of the Cooperative in good standing is also eligible and encouraged to run for the Board of Trustees at some point in their tenure in the school.
The amount of time needed to complete jobs varies with each job. Regardless, members are responsible for the efficient and timely completion of their assignments. Every family should be aware of who they report to in the jobs structure, and if circumstances prevent the satisfactory completion of a job, the family should contact the appropriate person immediately.
If a family fails to perform its assigned job it will be contacted by the Jobs Chair or Jobs Trustee and efforts will be made to remedy the situation. However, if a family cannot complete a job, they may be billed for a job buyout.
