Curriculum

At Stevens the goal is to nurture children's fundamental and instinctive desire to learn and to help them master the skills they need to succeed in their educational journeys.

S

tudents are encouraged, as individuals and as groups, to solve problems creatively, to think independently, to take risks and, above all, to question. Throughout the School social studies, language arts, math, science, and the arts are woven together into developmentally appropriate investigations. The academic skills of reading, writing, and math are learned within the context of real work, therefore serving as necessary tools in the children's quests.

Stevens Cooperative School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, or national origin in the administration of its hiring and admission policies, financial aid program, or other school administered programs.

Whether building the Brooklyn Bridge or re-creating an Egyptian tomb, Stevens emphasizes collaboration, problem solving and teamwork. Mastering these skills prepared me well for success in high school and college” Alumna in college
