Afterschool & Early Morning Programs

Early Morning

As an additional service to parents, students enrolled full-time may arrive at school as early as 7:45 am for no extra charge (8am at River Street).

Afterschool

The Stevens Cooperative Afterschool Program provides quality childcare from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. every school day for all full-time students. The regular Afterschool Program is staffed by Stevens faculty members. Children are able choose from a variety of supervised activities such as arts and crafts, board games or Lego construction. Beginning in September 2009, there will be no charge for regular afterschool care

Stevens Afterschool also provides homework and study groups for students 3rd grade and above. Students may do their homework, read quietly or even work on a research project with the close supervision and support of a Stevens faculty member. Homework Group for 3rd & 4th graders runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Study Group for grades 5 – 8 runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and is staffed by one of the middle school teachers. Parents may tell us that their child is required to attend one of these groups rather than being in regular Afterschool. On occasion middle school teachers may require a student’s attendance in Study Group. Beginning in September 2009, there will be no charge for  Homework Group and Middle School Study Group.

Afterschool Classes

In addition to childcare, Stevens Cooperative School provides a selection of afterschool classes each day, that are divided into extension classes and enrichment classes.
