100 River Drive Grand Opening

While our "real" ribbon cutting occurred the day we returned from winter break, the "Grand Opening", held on January 13, provided an opportunity to say 'thank you" to those who worked so hard on designing and constructing this new facility. Members of the press heard first-hand about the partnership between Stevens and the LeFrak Organization. Zoe thanked LeFrak as well as members of the Space Committee who worked with architects and contractors to ensure the space would support and enhance our educational program. Marcy Boyle, Vice President of LeFrak, thanked the countless members of her organization as well as the architects and contractors who played such an important role. Rosemary McFadden, Deputy Mayor Jersey City, praised LeFrak for their role in developing Jersey City and thanked Stevens for our role in providing educational excellence in Jersey City. Zoe presented LeFrak with a picture of our logo created from the thumb or finger print of each of our students. Gregory's 5th grade class composed and performed a song especially for this occassion.
