iCalendars
You can subscribe to or you can download and import Stevens Coop's calendars via the iCalendar feeds linked below. The feeds are refreshed every 15 minutes, and contain calendar data showing all events in each category for the period from 30 days prior to today through 180 days in the future.
Generally, subscribing is preferable to downloading & importing and we recommend that you subscribe to the iCalendars if your calendar program supports subscription.

About Downloading & Importing
When you download the information, you are retreiving a copy of the calendar data as it exists on the website today. This is important to understand, because our calendars do change. Events are cancelled, times change, new events are added so your calendar will get stale over time. You should periodically return to this page and re-download the data for your calendar.
Notes about Downloading & Importing
- When you are downloading and importing events, most calendar programs will handle each event as a unique event every time you import it. Thus, the more times you import the event, the more copies of the event you will get in your calendar. For those types of programs, generally:
- If you import the file more than once, you're going to wind up with additional copies of each event in your calendar. Therefore, if you are uising this type of calendar program, we recommend that you only download and import the calendar once every 180 days and continue to check the website calendars for the latest information.
- Once you import the calendar, the events will be added to your calendar as individual events. Therefore, we suggest you preview the data before importing it to your calendar so that you understand the number and nature of the events you are importing. (Use the "preview" links next to the feeds.)
- Microsft Outlook users please note:
- Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2003, 2002, and 2000 versions tend to all behave slightly differently in terms of how they handle the iCalendar standard. Some versions of Microsoft Outlook have known flaws in the implementation of the iCalendar standard. Generally, Outlook 2007 works very well, Outlook 2003 works fair to okay (and much better with the RemoteCalendars that allows you to Subscribe to calendars as noted below) and Outlook 2002 and 2000 may have some problems.
- Whereas Outlook 2007 will present you with a choice of handling the calendar as its own separate calendar category (making it much easier for you to remove or update it and keeping the clutter out of your own personal calendar), the earlier versions of Outlook do not support this feature. So, you should note that the events will be imported directly into your own personal calendar, and furthermore, there will not be any particular distinction placed on them that tells you that these are Stevens Coop events specifically.
- Palm users please note:
- According to Wikipedia, Palm does not support the iCalendar standard, however, according to documentation that Stevens Coop has found on Palm’s own website, they do; if you search for ".ics" in this PDF you'll see that it's supported for on both PC and Mac.

You may need to download the latest version of the Palm desktop software in order to take advatage of these features.

About Subscribing
When you subscribe to a calendar what you are doing is enabling your calendar program to periodically check-in with the website and download the latest information. This is greatly preferable to downloading, as it will serve to keep your calendar automatically "synched up" with the website's calendar.
Notes about Subscribing
There are a few things to note about subscribing:
- The iCalendar feeds are only updated every 15 minutes, and additionally your personal calendar program will run its own schedule for updates. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that you will always have the most-up-to-date information. There will be a time lag before the information reaches your personal calendar based on however your calendaring program is setup to refresh its information.
- Microsft Outlook users please note:
- Microsoft Outlook 2007 supports the Subscription option, so simply follow the prompts in Outlook to "subscribe" to the calendar when you click the links below.
- Microsoft Outlook 2003 supports the Subscription option only through the addition of a third-party plug-in from SourceForge called RemoteCalendars, which is available for download on SourceForge's website here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/remotecalendars/
- Microsoft Outlook 2002 and 2000 do not support theSubscription option.
Disclaimers
- We offer these feeds as a service to our users, but because of the myriad calendar programs that support the iCalendar standard, we unfortuantely cannot offer technical support for any aspects of your use of these iCalendar feeds.
- All Calendar events are in local time to the school. If you are in a different time zone, the events may show up in your calendar at the wrong local time for you.
- There may be certain information attached to calendar events in the website that is not imported into your personal calendar. This includes image and file attachments, as well as certain hyperlinks (web links).
