Read testimonies from Stevens parents, alumni, faculty and staff.

"On their second week at Stevens, both our kids were really happy about the change of school, to the point our older one said to us: 'Mom, Dad, thank you so much for putting me at Stevens, I really love my new school!' What else can you ask as a parent?" Daphne & JJ Raoult, Stevens parents

"Since our children started at Stevens, (over seven years ago), we have been nothing but pleased with the quality of their education, their social and emotional development, and the upward progression of Stevens. Not only do my children love their school, their teachers and their friends, they love learning and genuinely enjoy going to school. While our boys have different learning styles, Stevens has been able to accommodate both of their needs and we love that." Keita and Peter Young, Stevens Parents

"Without Stevens I'm not sure what kind of student I'd be. My 7th grade teacher Katherine Gilman channeled my love of words into constructive work. And before I experienced math instruction with Joy Desai, I thought I hated math. She changed my mind about that. I'm hard put to think of people who've had a bigger influence on the way I learn." Lee Watkins, Stevens Alumnus, Class of 2010

"My oldest daughter has been attending Stevens since kindergarten and she is now in the 6th grade. She is growing into a talented, self motivated and intellectually curious young lady who has benefited greatly from her experience at Stevens. She has been challenged and encouraged to think creatively, and she is a better student because of it. My youngest daughter began at Stevens this year and I already see signs that she is coming into her own. I look forward to seeing the young lady that she will become." Kim Lew, Stevens Parent

"The level of inquiry, discussion and sense of wonder in our middle schoolers continuously surprises me.  It is amazing to see students question each other respectfully and push each other's thoughts and perspectives." Shane Malmquist, Stevens Middle School Coordinator

"I look forward to coming to work every single day and truly enjoy teaching and being with my students." Joy Desai, Stevens Math Specialist

"If you choose to make the commitment to Stevens you will find that your child is not only learning the basics, but also developing the ability to think for his or herself. When your child can think through a problem rather than recall from rote what was dictated to him or her, you realize the program works. My children love Stevens, have never complained about school and are very safe, happy and well adjusted. Having had Stevens graduates as sitters for years, I have found them all to be smart, communicative young people who were accepted in some of the best high schools in New York and New Jersey." Rachel Ehrlich, Esq., Stevens Parent

"Without Stevens, I can't imagine where I would've been." Gregory Tavarez, Stevens Alumnus, Class of 2008

"We love this school! The curriculum is intelligently designed and very creative - even for the youngest students. A small example: over the course of two months, our Kindergartener learned about a variety of cultures by baking bread with parent volunteers who chose recipes which had ethnic or cultural significance to them. We were so impressed by how much our daughter learned from this experience, and by the appreciation she developed for the traditions of others. In addition, because the school administration and faculty have regular and very open communication to the parents, we are able to read regularly about the classroom activities of the older children in the school. We are so delighted to have a glimpse of the amazing educational experience our daughter has to look forward to." Nina and Jeff Adelson-Yan, Stevens Parents

"Collaboration is a high-order skill that takes imagination, respect and humility. When our students get to high school, it is very clear they don't have to learn how to do it. It's just how they are." Nancy Rossi, Stevens Director of Admissions and High School Guidance

"I credit Stevens with so much. One thing that helped me was the belief that I am capable of anything.  I was taught at a young age at Stevens to dream big and was encouraged to do so.  All the building and creating I did at Stevens helped form my unique perspective, my love of learning and my tendency to always ask, 'Why?'" Stevens Alumnus, Class of 1999
