Openings for 2011/2012:

 Accounting Manager

A 12 month full-time position, the Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Business, and work closely with members of the administrative team.

Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

®   Managing the general ledger accounting system ensuring complete and accurate financial information and reports

®   Developing and implementing a timely month end close process, including monthly reconciliations

®   Maintaining the chart of accounts

®   Collaborating with the director of development and auxiliary programs manager to ensure timely reconciliation of all pledges and receipts

®   Reviewing and updating the accounting policy manual

®   Preparing financial statements and reports

®   Developing schedules for the annual audit

The successful candidate will be an energetic, goal oriented leader with a sense of humor and inclusive nature.  Qualifications for this position include:

®   Bachelor’s degree in accounting, plus 4 or more years of related accounting experience. CPA preferred.

®   Strong technical and advanced Excel skills

®   Experience with Peachtree software

®   Ability to multi-task and work effectively with many constituencies

®   Demonstrated ability to write reports and correspondence

®   Strong communication skills
