    In response to New York Time's Article “Private Schools in Suburbs Tap Manhattan Market” published October 21, 2011.

    As a Head of School, I am empathetic to the shortages of private schools. Yes, New York is the epicenter of the dynamic, cultural and global, but we should not let New York-centric blinders prevent parents from knowing that educational life lives beyond the borders of Manhattan.

  • Do We Have a Bullying Problem?

    Bullying: the word evokes alarming images of the schoolyard thug who preys upon weaker students or the threatening youth who extorts lunch money from the new kid in 8th grade. But as we have come to know, it can be far subtler while still psychologically devastating, like the youth who encourages others to shun a once-favored friend as the price of entrance into the clique.
